How to make your own wafters

Wafters are a critically-balanced hookbait. All you need to do is thread it onto the Hair and you already have a perfectly balanced hookbait.

01) Firstly, find a nice and finely ground corkdust

02) Sieve out the larger particles from your chosen base mix and add to a bowl.

03) Then add the cork dust. This is 70/30 blend, but add more for pop-ups instead of wafters.

04) Put the two together into a plastic bag and mix thoroughly for a few minutes.

05) Crack your eggs and whisk. I normally just make a one or two egg mix at a time.

06) With the eggs whisked, add your chosen liquids and attractors into the mix.

07) Mix everything together well and then start adding the base/cork mix slowly.

08) Keep mixing and you will end up with a nice and firm paste like this shown here.

09) You can either roll them by hand, but I prefer to use a rolling table.

10) Once rolled, boil them for between one-and-a-half minutes to two minutes.

11) Air-dry them for about a week and then lightly soak in oil or liquid food.

12) The perfect balanced, tailored hookbait. Get mixing and give it a go.
