How to take advantage of the pulling power of paste
Paste: pliable attraction which we really don’t take advantage of enough. Well, until now…
Boilie paste: it’s one of the oldest carp baits going but it still takes a lot of beating when it comes to providing winter attraction. Here’s a great way to use paste, which will be very different to the angler in the next peg!
How to make a paste hookbait
STEP 1 Take note: Arma Mesh looks like PVA mesh but is NOT designed to dissolve!
STEP 2 Start by adding a small piece of rounded boilie paste to the Arma Mesh tube.
STEP 3 Using the plunger push the paste into the mesh but don’t compress through it.
STEP 4 Round off the paste and tie an Overhand Knot tightly above the hookbait.
STEP 5 Tie a second Overhand Knot for the next hookbait and cut between the two.
STEP 6 Just as you would with a boilie bait, thread the meshed hookbait onto the Hair.
STEP 7 Use a good size Hair Stop or plastic corn to prevent the soft bait coming off.
STEP 8 And that’s it! The boilie paste hookbait and high-attract rig is ready to cast out!
