Chub Vantage All Weather Suit

Stay seasonal with this three-in-one outfit from Chub, built for a range of temperatures and weather conditions

Chub’s been the CARPology reader’s label of choice for most of our 13-year history. But winter 2016 could be the most significant season Chub has ever enjoyed. Not only has their whole outdoor clothing portfolio been given a complete overhaul for this winter, but they’ve added to the range, too.

The real standout piece is this: the Vantage All Weather Suit. Retaining the same product name as its predecessors but now being stitched from all new materials and littered with clever features, the All Weather is a multifunctional 3-in-1 suit that features a Climatex 3000 shell on both the jacket and trousers, providing 3000mm of waterproof protection and 3000g/ms of breathability. This unique laminated fabric has the advantages of a softer and quieter touch and a more durable and consistent quality.

It’s a hands down winner when it comes to an economical, waterproof and warm jacket and trousers set. Available in M right through to XXXL. “GIMME”: £149.99; chubfishing.com

1. Outer Jacket
A technical piece that includes an adjustable, insulated fitted peaked hood, reinforced shoulders, fleece-lined hand-warmer pockets, internal and external storage pockets, YKK zip with central rain gutter and storm flap and adjustable Velcro wrist closure to prevent cold air coming in.

2. Fleece Inner Jacket
A heavy-duty zip-up style hoodie which comes in a very carpy olive colour and simply zips to the main outer jacket to not just double, but triple the warmth. Along with a chunky front zip, it features two front hand-warmer pockets, elasticated cuffs and the same subtle detailing and branding you find on the jacket and trousers.

3. Trousers
These 100% waterproof and Thermatex 500 thermal insulated bib & brace style slacks offer a high level of freedom of movement coupled with exceptional warmth and comfort. Elasticated adjustable shoulder straps with snap lock fasteners, double-layered on the knees, fleece-lined hand-warmer pockets, zip-fly, and zipped ankle openings ensure you stay dry and warm. They are also nylon-lined for ease of putting on and removal when wearing boots.
