Cola Tiger Nuts

There are sugary tiger nuts, and then there are these nuts, soaked and fermented in full-fat Coke-Cola!

The age-old favourite journalist ice-breaker: ‘One bait to use for the rest of your life?’ always results in the same answer: tiger nuts. “One of the greatest carp baits of all time,” shouts Penners. “They are always in my bait bag,” says Dove. But, as with so many things in life, not everything is created equal, and this is especially true for how you prepare your tigers. Cola tigers are the sweetest, sugariest nuts going, and here’s how you create them…

What You Need:
✅ Good quality tiger nuts (CC Moore or Hinders come highly recommended
✅ Full-fat Coke Cola
✅ Soft brown sugar
✅ Hinders Betalin
✅ A bucket
✅ Lake, rain or mineral water

1. Using a good quality tiger nut, place them in a bucket with a lid.
