Comfort - just at the next level
Chub are out to impress with their 2016 collection – and along with a healthier bank balance, you’ll also be a damn sight more comfortable in twenty-sixteen…
Vantage Bivvy
Chub’s most feature-packed bankside shelter to date
Yup, this is Chub’s new top-end bivvy, the Vantage, and along with a fistful of the most innovative features around, its Climax high performance 10,000 Hydrostatic Head material is fuggin’ awesome.
Thanks to its near flat back, it offers an abundance of extra space, comfort, protection and adaptability. The foundations of the Vantage are based around a sturdy 16mm, four-section frame which is engineered from 6061 aluminium with quick-release joints and collars to guarantee a rock solid set-up. It’s versatile too, coming with interchangeable front panels and a door system that provides multiple options for whichever set-up you prefer.
There’s some pretty cool (excuse the pun) ventilation features, starting with the unique Back Draught System, window props and a full zip on/off mozzi panel in rip-stop mesh.
And in true Chub style, the price tag won’t give you a heart attack, so thank the makers of-everything-awesome for that.

Clothing
When we think of Chub, we think Cyfish bivvy, the first company to put locking nuts on bedchair legs and the original Transporter Barrow which pretty much everyone has owned at some point. Now the brand is launching a new line of clothing which will rival all other specialist angling attire heavyweights.
All pieces come under their premium line, Vantage.
Chub chairs
Something for every budget
When it comes to seating, Chub do it better than most, and fresh for the backend of twenty-fifteen is a completely new collection of six chairs, ranging from the ultra deluxe (the Vantage Long Leg Recliner) right down to the RS-Plus Superlite Chair – the ultimate lightweight guestie for all Terry Hearn clones.
Look to your right and you’ll see there’s also something for every size of wallet, and whilst the cheaper models won’t come with adjustable reclining backs, they do all still have a number of key features in common: outstanding build quality, soft-touch carpy green fabrics and locking leg pins.
Chub beds
Comfort just got a completely new meaning
Do we really need more bedchairs, you ask? Well, as one of the original makers of beds, Chub has a lot of form in this area and their new collection of three beds is out to impress – and not just in the features stakes.
Starting at the lighter (and cheaper) end, there’s the (1) Outkast Bedchair (£159.99) – a six-leg, full-flat aluminium framed bed which features Chub’s new Smart Folding design, meaning there’s more room inside to store your sleeping bag.
(2) Second in line is the Vantage Flatbed 6-Leg which retails for £189.99 and comes with an insane amount of padding, is extra wide and boosts a 50mm thick mattress.
And finally, there’s the (3) Vantage Flatbed Wide 8-Leg (£229.99) – a behemoth of a bankside bed which offers the ultimate in comfort, strength, features and comes in a mile cheaper than its competitors’ offerings.
