DNA Secret 7: The new cult bait

In the last three months we’ve had more catch reports featuring this bait from Northern bait experts, DNA, than all others combined for the past six-months… Yeah, it’s clearly something special

If you’ve been following our Facebook and Twitter pages you will have seen boat loads of captures on DNA Baits’ Secret 7, or as it’s affectionately known, S7. Over the last couple of months our feeds have been virtually blocked with reports of some seriously big and beautiful creatures coming out on it. It’s a bit of an underground bait, and to be totally honest, we hadn’t heard a lot about it until this year either, even though it’s been out for three years. This season however, it seems to be taking the world by storm and is taking a multitude of waters apart in the process.

S7 is a spicy red krill-based bait and contains a unique blend of seven of the most attractive spices known to man or fish. We know that krill-based baits have been amazingly effective over the last few years, but there’s a lot of people on them. The addition of the spices takes it to the next level and also makes this bait stand out amongst the crowd. On waters where fishmeal-based baits are used, this seems to get straight in there and dominate. Linch Hill is a prime example and a lot of the anglers there are now moving onto S7 and quietly catching shedloads.

Scientifically the boffins at DNA know all about hydrolisation, FLAAs and all that other stuff that turns a bait from a good one into an amazing one. From what we have seen this is one of those stand out baits. It goes out of the stick well, comes in round sizes of 12, 15, 18 and 22mm and 14 x 18mm and 18 x 22mm barrels, and the carp just can’t ignore it.

There’s two more things to say before we finish. Firstly, there is a whole host of goodies that go along with the boilies themselves such as soaks, dips, pop-ups etc. Secondly it’s mega on price, as it’s only available on-line, from a DNA rep or a handful of carefully selected retailers so there’s less people that need a share in the profits thus giving you a better deal.

S7: an underground bait that’s taking waters apart right now

The likes of Hughesy, Mark Bartlett and Holmesy can’t be wrong and they catch shedloads. Clever people that want an edge are on the S7… and are doing well out of it.
