Backleads

Backleads are a very popular and effective way of concealing your rigs and main line. Once you have cast out, you simply clip a backlead onto your line above your rod tip and slide it down your line into the margins. This will pin your line down from your rod tip and keep it out of the fish’s way.

Flying backleads

Flying backleads are a method of line concealment that isn’t being used as much as it was, say four or five years ago. Attach one to your line above your leader material and then when you cast out it will fly back up your line and pin down the line between your leader and flyer.

Rig putty

Putty is used a lot in modern angling because it has many different uses and purposes. The heavy and manipulative material is especially good for pinning down your hooklink material. It can also be moulded into small blobs up your main line above your leader to pin it down to the lakebed.

Fluorocarbon line

Fluorocarbon Main line is awesome for the angler who wants to hide their line from very wary fish. The line is naturally heavier than a monofilament so that when slackened off it will sink properly to the lakebed. The clear colour also helps to disguise it when laying flush to the lakebed.
