Fortis Marine Jacket & Overtrousers

Fortis have entered the water-proof market after meticulous design process...

It’s clear that a huge part of the Fortis ethos is to plan, test and refine every product extensively before release, creating items that do what they are designed to do. It’s no surprise, therefore, that it has taken the company nearly two years of fettling and honing to bring their first-ever set of waterproofs to an expectant carping public. Naturally, the results do not disappoint.

The Marine Jacket builds on the firm’s current technical outerwear range and this new three-layer outer shell can be worn in conjunction with other items in the existing Elements portfolio, as can the Marine Overtrouser. Fortis spent a lot of the development process getting the cut of the jacket just right so that it won’t impede any aspect of life on the bank. Articulated sleeves have been incorporated to allow you to cast comfortably while still staying bone dry. The use of Fortis’s own Triflex fabric, which boasts additional stretch, further enhances comfort during any fishing situation. The jacket has also been specially tailored around the shoulder area to prevent the coat from rising up at the back when you reach up for a cast or when playing fish.

Both the jacket and the overtrousers are fully waterproof yet highly breathable, so you won’t stew in your own sweat with these on, and Fortis offer these items in either DPM Camo or Olive Green.
