Fox Halo Headtorches

Time you binned that knackered, old headtorch and replaced it with one of these up-to-the-minute beauts!

Many brands have a head torch or two in their range… Fox have five new ones… FIVE! The good news for you is that there’s sure to be one that’s just right for you in the Halo range because they’ve all got distinct selling points. Let’s take a closer look…

1. Halo 200

Okay, so the 200 refers to the lumens (a measure of the power of the light source) that the torch is capable of producing. As such, it’s the lowest powered head torch in the Halo range, but we reckon that it’s the perfect carper’s torch. Features such as adjustable brightness, adjustable angle and free AAA batteries will make this a favourite! “GIMME”: £22.99

2. Halo MS250

This head torch will pump out up to 250 lumens of light but can be adjusted to emit 100 or 10 lumens too, should you require less light. It features a battery pack on the back, which carries a battery power indicator too, so you’re not left in the dark! A particularly clever feature is the motion sensor capability: position it on a bankstick near your rods and you’ve got a mini security light! “GIMME”: £37.99

3. Halo MS300C

Packing a 300-lumen punch, this LED headtorch is fully rechargeable, via a micro USB charging cable. It also boasts motion sensing capability, which is especially useful if you want to set it up to watch over your rods as a security device! The battery pack, which is situated to the rear of the headband also features a light diffuser, so you can be seen from behind – especially useful if you’re out in a boat! “GIMME”: £48.99

4. Halo AL320

In boost mode, this torch produces a whopping 470 lumens of light. Of course, you can adjust that downwards (as low as 25 lumens) for a more subtle effect. The AL in the name reflects the fact that head unit is made from hardwearing, anodised aluminium. It is powered by a rechargeable battery, which can be charged by means of a micro USB cable (supplied) and you can check on the status of the battery, thanks to an indicator on the rear battery pack. “GIMME”: £43.99

5. Halo AL350C

Boy is this powerful. It punches out 500 lumens in boost mode (or should that be ‘beast’ mode?), which can be adjusted to as low as 25 lumens. The LED bulb is housed in a tough, lightweight anodised aluminium case. The rechargeable battery is housed at the rear of the head band, and features its own single-button red light, as well as a battery status indicator. The battery is charged by means of a micro USB cable that Fox supplies. “GIMME”: £64.99
