Gardner Tackle Bait Making Equipment
Making your own hookbaits and custom foodbaits is bloody good fun. Gardner is a one-stop shop for all the kit you’ll need
The only way to truly keep that secret flavour combo to yourself is to make your own hookbaits. The likes of Gaz Fareham, Frank Warwick and Danny Fairbrass have been doing it for years, and reaping the rewards. For a few quid you can experiment with hookbait and foodbait recipes that are known to you and you alone (and have great fun along the way)! Here’s what you’ll need… gardnertackle.co.uk
1. Rolaball Baitmaster
This beast of a rolling table will have you churning out more boilies than Mainline in no time! (Okay, we lied, but it does have huuuuge capacity.) If you needed proof of just how good these high-impact ABS tables are, then ask the bait companies that Gardner supplies! They’ll knock out an impressive 50 baits per stroke, which will get that freezer stocked up in no time. “GIMME”: £31.99
2. Rolaball Longbase
This rolling table has a looong base section, which does two things for you. First, it allows you to cram more sausages onto the table, and secondly, it allows for a longer ‘stroke’, which gives the finished baits that professional, smooth look. Rubber feet will stop the table sliding across the kitchen worktop as you hit your rhythm. “GIMME”: £11.99
3. Sausage Rolling Table
These simple devices are made to work in harmony with the Longbase Rollaball tables, producing perfect sausages and even cutting them to the perfect size for the table. There are three tables in the range, each of which will make two different sizes of sausage: 12/16, 14/18 and 20/22mm. “GIMME”: £6.99
4. Sausage Gun
Try rolling out the perfect sausage by hand, then tell us that these guns aren’t necessary! They speed the process up massively and produce sausages that are precisely the right size for the rolling tables. What’s more, the standard gun comes with eight nozzles, which will help you whip up sausages from 8 up to 22mm. “GIMME”: £19.99
5. Air Dry Tray
Once they’ve been lovingly rolled and boiled, you should really treat your baits to some luxury air-drying time to get them to the peak of perfection. These plastic-coated metal trays keep the baits apart while they dry, and you can stack them high to cope with a big bait-making sesh. “GIMME”: £14.99
