How to increase Chod Rig safety
Increase Chod Rig safety and land more fish by dropping the lead
1 Start by splicing a large ‘O’ ring to the end of your leader material or line.
2 Splice a loop into a short three-inch leader section also spliced to the ring.
3 Now thread the shorter section of leader through your chosen casting lead.
4 Pull the short section back through a Fox Edges Buffer Bead like this.
5 The next step is to take a dissolvable PVA nugget and cut into two halves.
6 Take half of the nugget and roll it up into a tight cone between your fingers.
7 Thread the coned nugget through the loop of the short leader section like so.
8 Your casting lead can be retrieved but will safely drop under fish pressure!
