How to make your own spod mix boilies

How to make your own spod mix boilies...

There’s two things which are wrong with boilies. One: they’re all perfectly round (read: predictable). And two: all their attractiveness is locked inside that tough outer skin. Spod Mix Boilies are the complete opposite: they’re stick-shaped; can be cut to any length you want; and because their ends are exposed, they release attraction much, much quicker. Oh, and they’re a damn sight easier to produce than round baits.

What you need:

Bowl/fork
Eggs
Base mix and liquids
Bait gun
Stove and pan

1. Crack your eggs into a bowl (the number will vary depending on how much mix you want to make), add your flavours/additives and whisk.

2. Slowly add your chosen base mix until you build up a pliable paste and then leave it to rest.

3. Create one large sausage, add it to the bait gun and pump out individual sausages.

4. Add the sausages to a pan of water and boil for between one and two minutes.

5. Leave them to dry on a towel for a few hours and then chop them up into different sizes by hand.

6. And for extra attractiveness, give them a good covering of the matching glug (we used Mainline’s Essential Cell and it’s delicious!).
