How to tie a solid PVA bag up

Follow these simple steps to tie a solid PVA bag just like Jack Brown

You will need: A long PVA bag, PVA tape, some mixed pellets and groundbait plus your rig.

Lower the rig into the bag so the hookbait sits at the bottom like this and move onto step 3.

Add the pellet and groundbait mix until you reach and cover the lead as shown here.

Gently squeeze the bag next to remove any air pockets and compact the bag down tight.

The next step is to twist the bag tightly just above the lead before moving onto step 6.

Using some PVA tape to secure the top of the bag with a simple Granny Knot like so.

Trim away the tag ends of the PVA tape but DO NOT trim the bag - you’ll need this in a mo.

Jack licks and sticks the seam running along the base of the bag next for added strength.

To make the bag nice and dense Jack then licks and sticks the corners of the bag.

Using you’re fore-fingers and thumb, hold the excess PVA at the top of the bag open.

Next roll the excess bag back over the filled section of the bag like so.

The bag now has a double layer of PVA and should look like this - proper strong!

Jack then twists and trims the excess PVA level with the base of the bag.

Now dampen the excess PVA with a wet finger and stick down to tidy the bag.

The doubled-up PVA bag is now complete and ready for dispatch. job done!
