JRC Cocoon Modular Luggage

JRC never fails to deliver tasty luggage. And this year’s Cocoon Modular range will turn even the most unorganised of anglers into the next Iain Macmillan…

Whilst carryalls appear to have been around since the year dot of carp fishing, unlike bite alarms, bedchairs and bivvies they’ve not really changed. Sure, they’re user-friendly, hold a large amount of kit and sit nicely on a barrow, but when it comes to organisation they fail quite dramatically. JRC’s new Cocoon range however goes a long way to rectify that problem. Rig wallet, rig case, hookbait case, brew kit – all individual tackle storage bags which fit perfectly inside their two sizes of Cocoon Carryalls, creating an organised tackle storage system. They’re just as perfect for the fish-one-night-every-three-months CARPologist as they are for the three-nights-a-week die-hard.

The key to this system starts with the main bag: the Cocoon Carryall. Large enough to swallow all of your kit yet not weigh a ton; padded at strategic positions to offer maximum protection but not heavy enough to collapse the bag thanks to its Anti-Collapse design. On the inside, it’s fully lined with an ultra soft but durable JRC lining and on the outside it’s made from their new-for-2016 hardwearing JX73 material that is dirt and water repellent. It’s darn clever stuff. Water won’t creep in through the base either thanks to that being reinforced and waterproof.

As we’ve stated, there’s two sizes available, Large and XL, and whilst they don’t different hugely in width and height (there’s just a couple of centimetres in it) the XL model is a full 16cm longer. And for that extra length you’ll be paying just £10.00 more. Talking of the price, the Cocoon Carryall keeps strictly inline with JRC’s outstanding price-point heritage, retailing for just £59.99 and £69.99.

But that’s only one-half of the deal when it comes to making you more organised than Iain Macmillan. The collection of pouches ranges from a Hookbait Case and Rig Case to a Brew Kit bag and three sizes of Organiser Cases. Regardless of which you opt for, they’re all made from that same hardwearing JX73 material, finished with the ultra soft lining that you’ll find in the carryall, and come with the trademark JRC chunky zip-pullers.

The result is a collection of bags which fit perfectly inside the four outer pockets to inside the main compartment. This year, blank or haul, at least you’ll be super orgainsed from the moment you turn up to the time you leave. jrc-fishing.co.uk
