Make The Switch To Braid

Avid’s new braid is a sinking camo affair

Image

Avid’s dedication and skill with camouflage has drawn many plaudits. Their Outline end tackle and monofilament lines are highly regarded for the way they blend in with a variety of underwater situations—and now they’ve applied the process to a braided main line and a snag leader and the result is as good as we hoped it would be…

1. Outline Camo Braided Mainline
Featuring a number of different tones to keep its outline broken up beneath the surface, this new Avid braid looks distinctive from the outset. It boasts all the usual advantages of braid—such as no stretch, great abrasion resistance and a low diameter—but has better casting qualities than many other options. It also sinks, which is what you want from a main line. It comes in 30lb breaking strain with a 0.25mm diameter on 300m or 600m spools priced at £29.99 and £54.99 respectively.

2. Outline Camo Mono Snag Leader
Deliciously flecked like the rest of the existing Outline range, this is a bit like the Outline mono main line but with added strength and toughness. Equipped with a high knot strength and exceptional abrasion resistance, this stuff is perfect for fishing close to snags and underwater obstacles, or for cushioning your braided main line. Available in 55lb (0.60mm) and 70lb (0.70mm) on 100m spools for £7.99.
