Nash Dry Storage

There’s a Nash Waterbox for every eventuality

Image

There is certainly a growing trend in carp fishing for fully waterproof zip-up luggage, though few ranges are as comprehensive as the Waterbox lineup from Nash Tackle. Split across two ranges—the 100 and 200 series—these EVA boxes work on a modular system and have varying capacities that will fit everything from small tackle items right up to a week’s worth of clothes or bait. Here’s how the range shapes up…

Two designs
As stated, Nash offer the Waterboxes in either 100 or 200 series options. The former is designed for storing smaller tackle items and is ideal for safely housing PVA products, spods and marker floats, smaller portions of baits and rig-making tools. The 200 series is designed as the load-lugging variant and is much larger with heavy-duty carry handles.

Important details
The larger 200 models are made with 1mm-thick EVA walls with reinforced 1.5mm-thick bases, while the smaller 100 models feature 0.8mm-thick walls and reinforced 1mm bases. Dual three-sided zips come as standard, and the zips are reversed for added waterproofing and sealing qualities. A shoulder strap (sold separately) is also available for 200 series models.

Modularity
The flat-sided nature of these boxes means they play very nicely with each other. The smaller 100 series pouches, such as the 100, 105, 110, 115 and 120 can fit inside their larger brothers, the 125, 130 and 140 products, meaning you can create a mix and match set of kit for each session. It’s basically Tetris for carp fishing luggage!

Flexibility
Being waterproofed and well sealed, these boxes aren’t just for storing tackle tools and ‘dry’ supplies. The larger models are great for carrying bait. The 210 is a popular replacement for a bucket, while the 220 is a clever option for storing your floaters for those impromptu surface sessions. With no lids to fall off in the car or be gnawed off by rodents, they’re a smart alternative to buckets.

Waterproofing
As the name of the range suggests, the Waterboxes are designed to keep your kit dry. They’ll happily cope with heavy rain showers and spillages, and will even survive a brief dunking in the lake—giving you enough time to retrieve one of the boxes should it tumble into the water.

Stack ‘em up
The 200 series Waterboxes, which have carry straps and grab handles depending on the model, feature stylish reinforced camo EVA lids. These lids feature circular indentations which match up with the moulded feet that sit at each corner of the 200 series boxes, so you can stack them on top of each other with confidence.

Packing Waterboxes… it’s like Tetris!
There are over 50 permutations of how you can pack and stack the Waterboxes! For example: the 230 fits 2 x 210 and 1 x 200 perfectly; or 3 x 140s full of the smaller 100 series. Or a 210 also fits several 110s. In a 130 you can put 1 x 115 and 2 x 105s or 1 x 115 and 2 x 100s, and in a 140 you can double what you have in a 130!
