Navitas' new treads

Uber-cool clothing brand, Navitas, has branched into footwear, with rather pleasing results!

In a relatively short time, that purveyor of trendy angling apparel, Navitas, has managed to gain some pretty influential fans in carp fishing. Some of the biggest names in the game; the likes of Gareth Fareham, Ben Hamilton, Simon Hartop and Carl and Alex Smith have aligned themselves with a brand that’s every inch a trendsetter.

Rather than looking exclusively inwards for its inspiration, Navitas draws from other outdoor influences, including BMX, skating, winter and extreme sports. It says everything that Navitas is able to operate across other dynamic outdoor pursuits, extreme sports as well as angling, all the time being seamlessly accepted in each discipline. These aren’t solely fashion-led pursuits either, activists in each place huge emphasis on the functionality and durability of the clothing that they choose to wear. So, you’ll find Navitas kit to be fashionable, but also extremely hardwearing and tailored to allow you to move.

The diverse influences that Navitas draws on have led to the brand cutting its own path and launching clothing that’s been nothing short of a breath of fresh air in the stale, olive-green carp market! Edgy, off-kilter designs, bold branding and striking colourways have marked Navitas out as a groundbreaking enterprise from day one. Now imagine if they made footwear too…

1. XT1 Trainers

We reckon that these could be the ultimate three-season footwear! They’re made from suede that’s been treated to a water-resistant coating, so you don’t get soaked when walking through the dewy summer grass, and have chunky, two-tone soles that feature a deep tread that’ll help you stay sure-footed on all terrains. Available in sizes 8 to 11 and in two colours: Black or Green.

2. V1 Slider

The V1 Sliders are as comfortable as the oldest carpet slippers, yet as functional as the most practical sandals. They’re nice and wide, but feature adjustable straps so that you can arrive at the perfect fit. They’re emblazoned with the Navitas logo (cleverly running across both feet) and finished in carpy green and camo. What’s more, they float, should you lose ‘em in the lake!
“GIMME”: £14.99

3. V2 Slider Velcro

The V2 Slider is a very similar design to the V1, although it does feature a distinctly different width adjustment strap that runs over the top of the foot. There’s subtle, tone-on-tone branding on the straps, along with Navitas’ own trendy camo pattern. They’ve been designed to offer a wide, comfortable fit, making them easy to slide into when you get a ripper in the night!
