New from Trakker
Upgrade your hole-ridden landing net without spending a month’s rent, the new bedchair groundsheet and more
Very well netted
That old, net-torn landing net whose original colour and brand you’ve forgotten may well be full of sentimental memories, but there will come a time when the mesh will let you down and the arms will simply fall out. So before the inevitable happens, head down to your local tackle store and check out Trakker’s new flat-bottomed (the safest mesh shape for a carp), lightweight net.
Key to its lightness is a blend of carbon fibre and Japanese shrink wrap on the 6ft handle and a super hard plastic construction spreader block. It doesn’t get bogged down in the water either, thanks to the medium depth, small-holed/free-flow mesh, which, just like the shape, increases fish safety.
It also comes with a drawstring carry bag to help reduce the stench of success in the car (read: stop the wife/girlfriend moaning).

The hallmark of quality
To ensure the mesh doesn’t rip at the spreader block end, a retaining cord has been created
Key spec
1. Reinforced top corners: To add strength to the top corners of the net, Trakker has reinforced them and added protective covers to help prevent snagging and breakages.
2. Colour and shape: Colour and shape of the mesh has always been the making or breaking of a landing net and Trakker have got both right here. The colour is a carpy, olive green and the 42” shape is, well, just right.
Size matters
Entering a carp match? Fishing a particularly weedy swim? Have some snaggy margins on your local venue? If you nodded to any one of those, then convert your Trakker CR-42 or EQ medium/deep mesh landing net to a shallow one.
This not only makes the overall net lighter but also easier to manoeuvre. The 75cm deep mesh comes in the same olive colour as you’ll find on the CR-42 net and retails for just £19.99.
Bedchair groundsheet
Hate groundsheets and mud/dust in equal measures? Luckily Trakker has a solution.
Fishing without a groundsheet means less weight, less bulk and more speed when setting up and packing down, but it does have some drawbacks: your kit can get extremely dirty or dusty.
Weighing just 750-grams, this super-durable groundsheet is perfect for the day/overnight/travelling light angler, and measuring 205 x 99cm means it’s just big enough for your bedchair and will keep your delicates away from the rain, mud or dust, whilst not becoming a burden to carry around. It features an elastic and ring system to make the pegging down very easy and is edged with webbing to ensure longevity. Supplied with a drawstring carry bag.
