TIGERS: Pre-soak for 24hrs and then bring to the boil and simmer for 20-40 minutes.
MAPLES: Pre-soak for 24hrs and boil for 20-30 minutes. After boiling, maples can be allowed to ferment if they are left in their own water for several days. To speed up this process, add a tablespoon of sugar during the boiling process.
BRAZILS: Pre-soak for 24hrs and boil for 45 minutes (this is crucial otherwise they float). Follow those guidelines and you should achieve a nut which will sink very slowly.
TARES: Pre-soak for 12-14hrs and then bring to the boil and simmer for 20-30 minutes.
HEMP: Pre-soak for 12-14hrs and then bring to the boil and simmer until it splits (approximately 30 mins)
GROATS: No pre-soaking necessary, just bring to the boil and simmer for a minute. For best results, leave in water for 12hrs, stirring occasionally.
