Dispatch - Fosters of Birmingham
Background
Due to the increase in stock movement and the imminent departure of a colleague, we are now looking to recruit an additional dispatch operator.
The Role
This function reports directly into the Branch Manager. Working as part of a busy team, the dispatch operator is likely to do a variety of jobs, such as picking, and packing goods for customer delivery and store transfer, booking items in on the management system and ensuring we meet our delivery commitments and targets whilst adhering to all legislative requirements.
Key Outputs
• Manage and Dispatch daily orders
• Assist receiving as and when required
• Product pick, pack and distribution
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
• Manage stock control and reconcile with Epicor system
• Liaise with suppliers and transport companies
• Following workplace health and safety rules will be essential

Qualifications & experience
• High School education
• Health and safety/manual handling knowledge

Goods In - Fosters of Birmingham
Background
Due to the level of stock arriving at our Fosters store, we are now looking to recruit an additional Goods In operator.
The Role
This function reports directly into the Branch Manager. Working as part of a busy team, the Goods In operator is likely to do a variety of jobs, such as taking delivery of goods for sorting, stacking and storage, booking items in on the management system and maintaining high accuracy stock control.
Key Outputs
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles by hand.
• Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage or distribution.
• Taking goods to the appropriate storage space – perhaps using loading and lifting gear for heavy goods.
• Booking in and keeping a careful record of the stock on the Epicor management system, so that it can be located quickly.
• Moving and rearranging stock to ensure that products are stored safely and labelled correctly and safely.
• Picking orders using a hand-held scanner from the storage space and bringing them for packing, or to the shop floor.
• Organising transfers and loading goods on to delivery vehicles.
• Cleaning and maintaining the work area will also be part of the daily routine.
