Prologic SNZ Bite Alarms

Were you smitten with ProLogic’s Senzora bite alarms? Then you’re going to be deeply in love with their new SNZ model...

The Dutch tackle company, ProLogic – who’ve been making bite alarms for the last couple of decades now – specifically designed their new SNZ to be the ultimate all-round bite alarm. They succeeded on so many levels: compact, feature-packed and unlike similar spec-ed alarms, this won’t cause your wallet to have a hemorrhage.

While this new model is the successor to their glorious Senzora bite alarm, it doesn’t carry any of that previous model’s design and internal components. From the new matt black outer with its black meshed speaker cover to the fancy Night Light function and total waterproof body, it’s all new, fresh and stylish.

Of course it comes with all the features we’d expect to find on a premium alarm: tone and volume dial rollers, seven sensitivity regulations, a Silent Mode, a wide but subtle night light with three different set-ups. Even the battery that powers the head is now just a 9V battery (the square ones which every garage and supermarket stock) which simply slots in rather than attaches, so there’s no chance the wiring can fail over time.

It also defies logic when it comes to the volume: how something so small can pump out such a massive sound. Thanks to the 100-decibel speaker there’s zero chance you’ll be sleeping through a take, and with the inclusion of the Low Battery Detection system you’ll never get caught out with a flat battery.

The receiver is equally as impressive: based on the same totally waterproof shell and 9V battery arrangement, this too has Silent and Vibration modes, a 150m range and a built-in courtesy light that can be turned on and off manually. And just like the heads, this comes supplied with a plastic protective cover.

Where this new alarm really wins is with the pricing. Available as a single head purchase, or in three and four alarm presentation packs, look to pay just £49.99 for a single head, £59.99 for the receiver and £189.99 for the three rod presentation set and £229.99 for the four. prologic-fishing.com
