A Bed For All Seasons
Here's your one-stop guide to fully understanding the monstrous Nash Indulgence All Season Bedchair collection!
IT MAY BE A MEMORY disappearing into the mists of time now, but it was Nash who first brought the concept of the ‘sleep system’ to the carp market; replacing add-on sleeping bags with integral duvets as part of their bedchair range. They’ve been keen to move with the times ever since and the current range of Indulgence All Season Sleep Systems is packed full of features, as we’ll explain in more detail now...
What have we got here, then?
In short, a total of five bedchairs (six if you count the mighty Emperor version—that’s basically like a double-sized bed!) of various sizes with unique touches including a high-density luxury foam mattress and a high-performance all-season duvet stuffed with hollow fibres.
Any key features I should be aware of?
Plenty! Lift back that new camo design on the outer of the duvet and you might spot a discreet USB socket, which combines with a power-pack pocket on the underside of the mattress to enable you to charge phones or tablets conveniently. Flip the bedchair over, or just lie in it, and you’ll notice the extended adjustable lumbar support. The single-layer duvet itself features a smooth nylon underside for snag-free sleeping and there are heat-retention baffles built in. To keep your valuables close at hand there are mesh pockets at the head end on both sides. Heavy-duty crash zips also allow for a quick exit when you get a bite.
You mentioned six different versions?
Yeah, it’s all about the different sizes. The five-leg Compact is the smallest and lightest, while the SS3 six-leggers come in Standard or Wide options. There’s a longer-legged SS4 frame with eight legs in Standard or Wide versions, and the giant (2.12m x 1.15m) Emperor model.
How does the Indulgence range differ from other Nash beds?
It’s a good question, given how tricky it might initially seem to navigate the Nash range. These All Season models don’t have the memory-foam mattresses (nor the price tag) of the MF60 models, but are more luxurious than the standard Nash Sleep System and the smaller Dwarf and Scope options.
Can you get any extras for the beds?
Yep! If you’re looking to fish in really extreme cold weather then the Indulgence Winter Shroud adds an extra layer of warmth and can be elevated at one corner using a storm pole to act as mini shelter. If conditions get really cold, Nash sell an Indulgence Heated Blanket which connects to any standard power pack with a cigarette lighter output. The Indulgence All Season beds also feature attaching loops for the matching pillow and mattress sheet. A Summer Shroud is available (from £69.99) for the warmer months, too.
