Avid Carp's New Sunglasses Range: Seethru

Avid are on the verge of launching a range of new polarising specs

Hitting the shops later this summer, we have managed to let Avid give us an early look at their new range of SeeThru polarising sunglasses. There are four in the range, all retailing for the same price of just £24.99 (which includes a hardcase and lanyard), and it appears the Telford tackle company have created something for all tastes and applications.

Seethru TS Classic
The tortoise-shell theme continues in this next pair, but the overall design is, as the name suggests, much more classic like a pair of Ray Bans. There are over-moulded arms and an over-moulded nose piece for comfort throughout the day, while the ‘Mirror Flash’ lens finish adds a touch of class.

Seethru Beam
Another distinctive pair, the Beams are super slim and lightweight. The grey lenses are sure to cut glare and dazzle in even the brightest conditions and the stripped-back design looks like these will feel almost weightless while wearing them. Avid’s SeeThru technology promises even greater vision through the water surface, even in low light.

Completing the lineup are these khaki-green shades which have echoes of the TS Classic with a more modern twist for a very stylish look. The subtle green frame matches well with the brown lenses, which are a great all-round colour for different conditions, while an over-moulded nose piece adds to comfort levels.

Seethru TSW
Featuring a distinctive tortoise-shell frame and wraparound design, this stylish pair looks like a winner to us. Avid have sought to address a common problem with wraparound shades - fogging up - by adding a series of vents in the frame to allow air to circulate. The amber lenses are also perfect for low-light conditions and cutting down glare.
