Fortis Eyewear Vistas range
As the days draw in, and light levels get grim, there’s only one set of glasses to reach for…
Fortis has swept through our sport like a fresh spring southwesterly. Their eyewear has found favour in all the right places, thanks to supreme lens quality and functional, lightweight frames. There’s a pair in the range to suit all conditions, but for low-light fish spotting, there’s one set that stands out: the Vista AMPM.
The amber lenses make the absolute most of the available light, allowing you to spot fish right up to twilight. The mind-blowing clarity and definition boasted by the Vistas is unrivalled, thanks to the clever way that the thin, elegantly curved lenses are made. A triple-injection process allows Fortis to precisely control lens colour, which gives more comfortable, natural vision.
To cut out unwanted light, the lightweight frames and lenses curve around, leaving you to concentrate on exactly where that whacker is heading to feed. Cunningly, the frames house 12 vents to stop your specs fogging up at the wrong moment – a problem anyone who wears a hat and glasses will have encountered!
If the amber lenses aren’t your thing, the Vista range also includes the X Blocs that we recently looked at, and the all-rounder of the family, the Vista 247s, which have brown lenses.

“We’re launching a brand-new model,” states Fortis MD, Darran Goulder. “Super slick and a real classic for the fashion conscious carpers among us, think Steve McQueen. Also due to such a huge demand, we have been working on something special for the spec-wearing Fortis fans… Oh! And how could we forget: we’ve been working on another collab…!”
