Fox Zig Float Kit

Fox’s revamped Zig Float Kit takes the pain out of upper-layers angling

By now, we’re all aware just how deadly a tactic Zig Rigging can be. But it can be a pain to fish effectively, leading to many anglers simply not bothering. With their new Edges Zig Float Kit, Fox have done everything they can to take the hassle out of presenting a suspended bait.

1 Redesigned sub float
This new float has a fluted design almost like a distance casting lead, for increased casting stability. Resistance cavities in the body help set the hook with longer hooklinks. It’s also been given Fox’s famous Trans Khaki colouration to make it blend in with the carp’s surroundings.

2 Drop the lead
The kit comes with a short boom that features an Edges Angled Drop Off Run Ring at one end and an Edges Heli Drop Off Bead at the other, allowing the angler to decide whether or not to drop the lead depending on the situation and sub-surface conditions.

3 Anti-tangle cavity
This very handy feature is a little recess in the top of the float that can take a small piece of rolled-up rig foam. Simply nick your hook through it and you’ll have a foolproof anti-tangle set-up for long chucks.

4 Less line twist
This kit features Fox’s new ball-bearing swivel, which is a brilliant device to dramatically reduce line twist. Long mono hooklinks are prone to twist when being retrieved, but this clever swivel rotates freely to reduce these tangles.

5 Anti-tangle sleeve
The final component of this new Edges Zig Float Kit is the Trans Khaki Anti-Tangle Sleeve which covers the ball-bearing swivel and kicks the hooklink away from the float for a streamlined set-up that won’t tangle.
