'It's a game changer'

Freshly smuggled out of the Marukyu factory, these are the liquids causing all the hype in carp fishing right now

Nigel Sharp hails them as ‘revolutionary’. Those who have been given a sneak preview were gobsmacked. And we wanted to
try them so badly we endured the M25 on a Friday – at rush hour – to go and pick them up. But are the liquids Marukyu is claiming will be the most talked about product of 2015 worth it?

Two years in the making, what we can tell you is ‘AMINO+’ is a feed trigger that can be applied to both feed baits and hookbaits. It’s designed to stimulate fish into feeding and is also PVA-friendly, meaning the list of uses is endless.

What we can’t reveal is how it works, and that’s because Marukyu, the Japanese-owned company are keeping to their usual practice and keeping very schtum about it. What they have let slip, though, is they’re packed full of nucleotide, amino acids, essential oils and high stimulation feeding triggers. Confused? Us too, but the Marukyu rep. tells us, “It basically means this water-soluble liquid bonds to any bait it touches, producing a far reaching scent trail in the water, helping to pull the fish into your baited spot.”

Having caned your wallet to breaking point on that new set of rods or bivvy, you’ll be pleased to hear they retail at just £9.99 for a 100ml bottle – and because it’s only a fine spray you’re applying, that will last sometime. AMINO+ Feed Trigger Sprays are available in the following flavours: Nectarmino, Scopex, The One, Umami, Choco Cream (you’ll want to drink this one!) and Coconutty.

So have they been worth the 24 months wait? Damn. Sure. It. Has.
