JRC Cocoon Modular 5 Rod Sleeve System

Say hi to the most adaptable, versatile rod and luggage management solution, all courtesy of our pals at JRC

If you were asked to think about the life of your rods, the first image to enter your head would probably be of your beloved sticks resting on some alarms, looking out over your swim, but… in reality, the life of your fishing rods paints a far different, harder picture.

Just think about where they are right now? Probably in your garage or shed, squeezed in with the kids’ bikes, lawnmower etc. and of course the rest of your kit. This vulnerability from merely storing your rods at home is then multiplied when the time comes to actually getting to the bank! Packing them into the last remaining air-pocket in the motor, and then you’ll be lumping them onto a barrow with a ton of other stuff and pushing them to your peg, trying not to snag the tips as you go.

The answer to having some peace of mind that your precious, often expensive rods will still be in one piece (well two, but you know what we mean) when called upon is of course a protective holdall.

Although holdalls designed to protect your carbon can often come with their own drawbacks, such as bulk and excess weight, or an overly light nature with a lack of protection. That is until you checkout the MOD Five Rod Holdall from the guys at JRC.

The MOD Five will also house any bivvy

Slick and slim, the MOD Holdall offers the perfect balance of weight, size, and most importantly, protection. Key to the successful design are five padded rod sleeves which are able to house any big pit style reel, which allow you to carry the right amount of rods needed in an up and down configuration. So if you’re scaling down your kit for a short session, simply transport two/three fishing rods. When utility rods such as a spod and marker are needed, simply reconfigure to a compact three up/two down arrangement.

All the items are made from a durable JX73 material, which is dirt, and better still, water-repellent

Such is the versatility of the modular system that virtually any shelter can be secured – again allowing the modern-day carper to carry a brolly, bivvy or not depending on their session. Either way, the compact nature of the holdall is maintained and progressed with a dedicated Side Pocket for nets, banksticks, pod etc

Heavy-duty zips and pullers are used throughout

What’s more, JRC has produced the holdall from a durable JX73 material, which is dirt, and better still, water-repellent, meaning your kit won’t end up weighing a ton on a rainy session. Instead, the MOD Five Rod Holdall will remain the sleek, compact solution to your rod transportation.
