JRC Stealth X-Lite Levelbed
JRC's lightest six-leg bed!
The Big Questions
What does it compare to?
These days, the term bedchair is a bit of distant memory. Like most of its rivals, the Stealth X-Lite is a ‘Levelbed’, so it can lie flat and is used purely as a bed. The six-leg design means you can adjust the rake of the head end, or lie completely horizontally.
Go on then, what’s special about it?
In short, its lightness. This aluminium-framed bed comes in at just 6.5kg, making it JRC’s lightest. That’s no mean feat for a company with this much history and bedchair pedigree.
Tell me a bit about the history then…
One of the earliest makers of bedchairs, JRC have always been popular in this sector. The Stealth range of products is well-known for its weight and space-saving properties, and this new X-Lite Levelbed is full of modern features.
What features does it have?
Despite being lighter than its predecessor, this bed boasts more padding. It’s also shaped to fit in compact ovals and shelters, and there are mud feet on each leg for stability.
Who’s it aimed at?
The X-Lite’s lack of bulk means it perfect for the short-session, roaming angler, but it’s not a completely stripped-back design by any means, so you could happily live with this for much longer trips.
