Looking slim, sharp and 'carpy'

Matt black, slim, light and affordable: Cygnet we love you and your Sniper sticks and Snug bars

We’ve been Cygnet patriots ever since the company launched back in the mid 90’s. Back then it was seen as a culty, niche brand, offering something different to the mainstream, and it all came dressed in a lovely matt black coating. But then we began to lose faith when the company let nearly two decades elapse without producing a rival to the likes of Solar or Matrix and their stainless steel collections.

The Sniper Banksticks are built from 0.5-inch aluminium tube with a solid aluminium ground spike and robust brass fittings so they’re built to last

However, in 2012 Cygnet fought back with a contender: The Sniper Banksticks and Snug Buzzer Bars. It’s the ultimate pairing when it comes to looks, weight and price. The Sniper Banksticks are built from 0.5-inch aluminium tube with a solid aluminium ground spike and robust brass fittings so they’re built to last.

Both the 2 and 3 rod ‘Snugs’ feature the same, ultra-tight spacing so big put reels will sit ‘shoulder-to-shoulder’, keeping your set-up neat, functional and looking sharp

On paper, the Snug Bars have exactly the same DNA as the sticks: lightweight and ultra-durable thanks to the fully anodised black aluminum, but somehow they’re even more desirable, simply because of the spacing between the rods. Both the 2 and 3 rod ‘Snugs’ feature the same, ultra-tight spacing so big pit reels will sit ‘shoulder-to-shoulder’, keeping your set-up neat, functional and looking sharp. In the 2 Rod version they’re available in 4”, 4.5”, 5”, 5.5” and 6” and the 3 Rods come in 7.5”, 8.5”, 9.5”, 10.5” and 11.5” lengths.

After more stability? Then opt for the matching Stabiliser

Whilst Cygnet is clearly now a front-runner in the world bars, sticks and indicators, it’s somehow managed to retain its original culty, niche-ness which made it so desirable back in the 90’s for anyone wanting something different to the norm, and this collection of sticks and bars just epitomises that.
