Mystic Carp Hooks

The Mystic Carp range of hooks has it all: incredible strength, every pattern you could ever need, and best of all: mind-blowing sharpness

Yes, hook choice is a very personal thing, but rest assured that VMC - the brand behind the Mystic Carp range of hooks - knows exactly how to win a place in our tackle boxes, as this range of five patterns prove...

Mystic Carp Hooks £4.30

1. X Long Shank Straight
No hook flips and turns quite as well as a long shank pattern, especially when combined with a kicker, so that’s a good start for this one then! It has a long, needle point, that all-important PTFE coating too and an eye that kicks in just enough to encourage the hook to find hold when the hooklink is tightened.

2. Curve Shank
These swept-shank hooks will find plenty of fans out there, especially among those of us who love a Ronnie! They feature an anti-glare PTFE finish and eye-wateringly sharp points, straight out of the pack.

3. Short Shank
A real powerhouse of a pattern with a combination of a heavily forged wire and rugged short shank. Once these fellas go in, they
stay in, and that makes them a good choice for snaggier environments.

4. Wide Gap
A classic bottom bait pattern for those of you who prefer a beaked pattern. These PTFE-coated hooks have a short shank and wide-gape combo that promise to provide super-secure hook holds.

5. Chod Rig
The name kinda says it all really. This one’s got all the hallmarks of a great Stiff Link hook and, interestingly, Sufix has gone for a straight-pointed Chod hook, which should ensure dynamite pricking power.
