NashBait Key Cray
Never heard of the Key Cray? Here’s our five-point guide to the hottest bait of 2017…
1. The Key? It’s complex!
The Key concept is based around a nutritionally rich boilie, with unparalleled feed triggers. When the bait was conceived, Nashy wanted to throw the proverbial kitchen sink at it, so no corners were cut in its make-up. Think costly ingredients such as green lipped mussel, pre-digested fish protein and spirulina for starters.
2. Now with added real crustaceans!
Okay, so The Key base mix is hard to improve upon, but Nashy gave it a go with the Cray version. The team added deadly Nashbait crayfish meal to the mix, ramping up the attractiveness of the mix, as well as its nutritional profile.
3. It’s better than the original Key because…
Quite simply it’s down to the crayfish meal. So many of our waters now contain the little crustacean critters that they’ve become quite the fashionable treat for our finned friends. Even carp in waters that don’t currently have crays in them will recognise the attractive profile of this rich boilie.
4. Have it your way
The Key Cray is available in both frozen and stabilized versions, which means that you choose how to store your bait. It’s certainly something to bear in mind if you’re taking the bait abroad for a long drive-and-survive, from which you might well opt for the stabilized version.
5. Mix it up
The Key Cray range includes 12, 15 and 20mm baits, so you can give the fish a real mixture of sizes and weights to deal with. Now, that just has to make it more difficult for them to pick out the hook bait right? “GIMME”: £12.99 per kilo
