Take your boatlife game up a notch with Raptor’s tried and trusted 230 Camo Boat

Let’s face it: Europe is the next big thing, maybe not in Brexit terms, but there’s no doubt about it that UK carp anglers have been pushing the envelope further and further in recent years with Holland, Belgium, France, Germany and even Austria and Slovenia becoming regular and realistic targets for waters to fish and places with carp to chase. Boats might not be at the top of every UK anglers’ list of kit, but start looking over the water and they’re basically as essential as your rods and reels.
Raptor are based out in Holland and have been steadily making a name for themselves in the boat world over the last few years and when someone with as much experience and knowledge as Dave Lane is using a piece of kit you have to stop and take notice, especially when it comes to life afloat.

With a full range in their highly developed quiver, from small, one-man roll up boats, to big water beasts, The Raptor 230 Wide is one of the widest small boats on the market, offering a full 83cm of usable width on the super stable black aluminium deck as well as 160cm of length. Loading up for a move, or hanging over the edge looking for those little clear spots has never been so easy.

The 230 X is marketed as a two-man boat, or read that as one guy plus a load of kit for a big water adventure.
There’s genuinely no room whatsoever for substandard kit when you are floating about above the depths of a huge French inland sea, (or any other piece of water for that matter) so Raptor’s boats are designed and over engineered to cope with the very roughest and toughest of environments: ultra tough 1100 Decitex PVC makes up the chambers, extra long heavy-duty protection strips on the bottom give extra durability when beaching, a reinforced transom, superior drain system and quite tellingly, a full 5 year warranty on all materials and seams.

Add to the seriously impressive list of features all the standard things like black coated aluminium oars, a pump, bag and you have a ready made big water adventure package. The classy HD Camo is a lovely carpy touch too, whether you are stashing it in a set of reeds on a huge German pit, or sitting it next to your bivvy down the local pond, it can’t help but give your set-up a few extra carpy points.

Retailing at €845 puts it in reach of anyone wanting a top spec, top quality boat that will go the distance raptorboats.nl
