Trakker's 2015 autumn collection
It’s time for your summer Tees, lightweight sleeping bags and baseball caps to go into hibernation and for Trakker to roll out their new twenty-fifteen autumn collection. It’s good. Like really good…
Summer’s over. Officially. The mornings are chilly, the nights are drawing in and Trakker has just launched their new twenty-fifteen Autumn Collection – a range which will definitely ease you through this transeasonal period. From suits and socks to heat changing mugs and mattresses, it’s once again a strong showing from our Sheffield-based friends, as their new Elements Jacket and Bib & Brace outfit prove.
In the past Trakker have produced some outstanding collections; take their 2010 simply named ‘Clothing Bundle’ for example: jacket, fleece, trousers, polo shirt, baseball cap and a beanie all for £129.99. So surely the more British than real ale and bad weather company couldn’t beat that for this fall? According to Gaz Hood and Dave Mills, they can, and they have.
Both the jacket and the bib & brace are made from a 10,000mm waterproof and 5,000mm breathable nylon outer, whilst on the inside you’ll find a 100% polyester filling and internal lining which is deliciously warm. Heavy-duty zips, fleece hand-warmer pockets and reinforcement in key areas complete niceties. And at just £99.99 for the jacket and £89.99 for the bib & brace, it means you’re getting the ultimate winter protection at a rock-bottom price.

Bed comforts
Trakker aren’t just hell-bent on keeping you warm whilst standing up – they’re now taking you on whilst you sleep
1. Mattress Topper
It’s an easy mistake to make – thinking that by throwing on another top layer to your sleeping bag (think: bedchair cover) you’ll feel warmer. In actual fact, your best bet is to add this new mattress to your bed. It’s designed for all-season use and helps stop cold air penetrating the base layer of your sleeping bag. And not only that, the Q700 hollowfibre insulation (the same as used in their premium sleeping bag) actually improves comfort too. This is awesome!

2. Bedchair Thermal Liner
We’ll start with a bit of basic science: damp air rises so the base of your bedchair is going to get cold – and quickly – and currently all those thermal layers you keep throwing on are sitting on your chest, not back. Thankfully Trakker’s new Thermal Liner has your back – quite literally. It’s incredibly lightweight (300g), simply clips onto all standard sized beds and stops that rising cold damp hitting your back thanks to its EVA foam and PET reflective laminate.
“GIMME”: £34.99
3. Trakker Pillow
What do you get when you put the ultra-soft polyester and polar fleece Trakker make their sleeping bags from, on to a pillow? A two-sided, different-material pillow which is ridiculously comfortable and comes in two sizes, Small and Large, is what.
