Vass Classics Revamped

There are now MK4 versions of some classic Vass items

There’s an old saying about tools that if something doesn’t move and it should, use WD-40; and if it does move and it shouldn’t, use duct tape. Anglers could probably add to that—if it’s wet and you want to remain dry, use Vass. They’ve cornered the ‘rainwear and waders’ market and have recently improved some of their range…

‘Fleece Lined’ Ribbed Beanie
If you want to complete the top-to-toe Vass look then aside from some boots (we 100% recommend their R Boot), a beanie is the finishing touch. These one-size-fits-all options have a chunky ribbed knit outer and a fleecy inner lining. They’re moisture wicking, breathable and roughly 70 percent wind resistant, too. £16.98

Team Vass 175 Winter Lined Smock
Able to be worn on its own as an over-the-head outer layer or in combination with the bib and brace, the matching smock has also been given an Edition Four makeover. This is a lined smock designed for cold-weather use (there’s an unlined version elsewhere in Vass’s range) without being too bulky or heavy. New features include hand pockets and a redesigned hood with a clear peak. There’s also an adjustable lower hem and the windproof, waterproof and breathable Vass-Tex 175 material has been upgraded. Available in sizes M to XXXL. From £129.98

Team Vass 175 Winter Lined Bib & Brace
Edition Four is Vass’s term for the fourth iteration of these items, and the bib and brace have received a number of tweaks and upgrades. Fundamentally, they remain waterproof and breathable with a lightweight and flexible yet very warm winter lining. They also boast heavy-duty knee reinforcement, quad-welded seams and those classic yellow straps. New features include an extended back area and the new waterproof, windproof and breathable Vass-Tex 175 material. They’re also machine washable and easily repairable should any accidents occur. Available in sizes M to XXL. From £99.98
