Vass-Tex 350 Lightweight Waders

Vass have put their standard waders on a diet to produce a less bulky version...

The average carp angler may only have become aware of Vass (and their iconic yellow straps) in the last few years, but they’ve actually been creating hard-as-nails waterproofs for more than 40 years. The Milton-Keynes based textiles company has been serving commercial fishermen, construction workers, and anglers, for decades, building up plenty of expertise when it comes to rugged clothing. So, when they decided to trim some fat from their carpy waders, they did it properly.

The result was the Vass-Tex 350, a wader that has a 50% lighter upper than the Vass-Tex 700 Heavy-Duty. New for spring 2019, it was designed for anglers who want something more supple and compact, without compromising on waterproofing and quality.

By Vass’s own admission, the 350 can’t be quite as hard-wearing as the 700, but the pay off is increased manoeuvrability and that impressive weight saving. It boasts wide quad-welded seams, a chest draw cord and internal pocket, and studded and non-studded sole options. These waders use the familiar Vass E Boot and are available in sizes 6 to 13.
