Wrap up for winter with Avid Carp

When it’s bitter and wet, throw on these new cold-crushing outerwear garments from Avid Carp

Avid’s non-shiny-new Outline terminal tackle range may be hogging the limelight right now, but the latest additions to the company’s clothing line also deserves some applause. A triumph of minimalism, functionality and style, the new collection doesn’t just keep you warm and snug, but thanks to the waterproofness on the Blizzard outer garms, very, very dry too.

1. Blizzard Rip Stop Jacket

Let’s start with the outer. The drab olive green material has a 10,000mm hydrostatic head, waterproof chest pocket, two hand pockets, rollaway hood, brushed line collar and adjustable waist and cuffs. Undoing the full-length zip reveals a lightweight, soft-touch lining that provides an extra windproof barrier and thanks to the 3000g/m2 breathability material, you won’t sweat-up.
“GIMME”: £79.99

2. Blizzard Rip Stop Bib & Brace

Summer has sprung, autumn is here and, like drinking habits, clothing choice changes. You ditch cider for import lager and a lightweight jacket for a heavy-duty bib & brace just like this. Along with boasting all the same features and figures as the Jacket, it also has reinforced knee and seat panels, wide opening legs with Velcro adjustment and an elasticated back for added comfort.
“GIMME”: £69.99

3. Thermal Quilted Jacket

A jacket this warm usually has the bulk of a ski coat, but the Quilted Jacket - a favourite for many of the Avid team members - is different. Boasting multi-layer insulation and a shower-proof outer fabric means the weight is removed but the heat’s turned up.
“GIMME”: £59.99

4. Khaki Microfleece

This lightweight fleece is perfect for those sunny autumn/winter days, but when the sun drops - and the temperature with it - use it as the base layer and wrap your main jacket over the top for the ultimate in retaining warmth.
“GIMME”: £24.99
