How to set-up a drop-off lead

1 You need: an in-line lead, a length of leadcore with a size 8 ring swivel attached to it and a tail rubber.

2 Tie your chosen hooklink to the heavy ring of the swivel. Also note where the leadcore is spliced to the swivel.

3 With the swivel spliced to the ring on the swivel, now plug the tail end into the plastic insert like so.

4 Wrap the leadcore around the lead and then push the tail rubber down into position as Alexei has done here.

5 With the tail rubber now in position, this is how the lead arrangement should be looking – perfect.

6 And finally, the set-up is fully complete and ready to be placed inside a solid PVA bag – it’s deadly!
