How to tie a simple PVA bag rig

Follow these steps to create a really simple PVA bag rig

Above are all the components you will need to tie Jack’s simple solid bag rig.

Start off by cutting around eight-inches of soft braid like Jack has here.

Create a small loop at one end of the braid with an Overhand Knot like so.

Using a bait needle thread a single grain of fake pop-up corn over the loop and onto the braid.

Next thread a fake rubber maggot through the loop in the braid as shown here.

Pull the braid/loop back into the piece of corn so everything his held tightly in place.

The next step is to thread a 5mm length of silicone tubing onto the hooklink like so.

Take a size 8 Fang X hook next and pass it through the silicone tubing as shown above.

The hook is then secured into position with a simle six-turn Knotless Knot.

Jack then ties the hooklink to a ring swivel with a Five-Turn Grinner Knot.

A drop-off in-line lead is Jack’s preferred lead arrangement for this rig.

This is how the hookbait balanced by the weight of the hook should sit on the bottom.
