Room With A View

A slice of carping history could be yours...

Image

Norfolk’s Waveney Valley Lakes is steeped in carp-fishing history, and now a lakeside lodge is for sale with private fishing. Perched on the edge of D Lake (or Dragonfly Lake, as it’s now known), this two-bedroom holiday property faces the famous oak tree and offers a great view of the two-acre venue on the seven-lake complex. There’s an open-plan living/kitchen/dining area and two sets of patio doors, one of which opens onto decking overlooking the lake. Closer to the water is a grass swim perfectly placed to target the lake’s good head of 20-pounders.

The well-appointed kitchen comes with fully fitted kitchen units, roll-top surfaces, a central island and integrated appliances. The master bedroom has fully fitted wardrobes and an en-suite shower and toilet, while the second bedroom is also a double with fitted storage. In addition, there’s a family bathroom with a bath and shower.

The lodge is a Wessex Milbourne model measuring 36ft by 20ft and is double glazed throughout. On the market for £140,000, this property can be used all year round for holiday purposes, but cannot be used residentially.
