Sound As A Compound

Avid’s latest luggage combines ruggedness build quality with clever functionality!

Image

Avid’s new Compound luggage range is well worth closer inspection, but the company’s other recent launches have been so headline-grabbing that it’s gone a little under the radar. That’s no surprise in the face of competition from Avid’s new heated sleeping bags and re-designed bed systems (more on those on our YouTube channel—just search: Avid Trade Show 2022), but don’t let the Compound range pass you by.

Compound Small and Large Pouches
Why are we starting with the ancillary pouches? Well, it’s because these are the clever items that can be clipped to the larger bags. They feature two hook-like connectors and Velcro straps and can be clipped to the sides of the Compound Ruckbag or both sizes of Compound Carryall. They also attach to the rod sleeves, which is very handy indeed. £15.99 and £19.99

Compound Ruckbag
If you desire loads of storage space but also the ability to hitch a bag on to your back and go exploring then this might be the ideal solution. This cavernous ruckbag features the same webbing-inspired design clues as the carryalls, plus plenty of padding for your back and shoulders. Attach some of the pouches to its exterior and you’ve created a seriously versatile load-lugger. £59.99

Compound Carryall: Standard and XL
The Compound Carryalls are the base on which to mount those clever little pouches, and they come in either standard or XL sizes. They boast wipe-clean waterproof bases, EVA grip handles and a hardwearing protective outer. Two-way heavy-duty 10mm zips and strong webbing handles complete a rugged look. The separate pouches can be attached to the front or sides of the carryalls. £39.99 and £54.99

Compound Single Rod Sleeve: 10 and 12ft
Available in 10ft or 12ft options, these single rod sleeves boast heavy-duty 10mm zips, EVA grab handles and a padded shoulder strap. So far, so standard. But what sets them apart is the ability to accept the Compound pouches, meaning your rod sleeve instantly becomes capable of carrying your terminal tackle. £34.99 and £39.99

Compound Double Rod Sleeve: 10ft and 12ft
The twin-rod versions of the Compound rod sleeves are also available in 10ft or 12ft options and, just like the single sleeves, are easily capable of swallowing big-pit reels and 50mm butt rings. Plus, you guessed it, they can also accommodate those Compound pouches. £44.99 and £49.99

Compound Rod Sleeve Transporter
If you want to combine multiple single or double Compound rod sleeves then the Transporter is the product for you. This adjustable strap means it can bind either 10ft or 12ft sleeves, keeping them secured at the top and bottom. It can combine up to four sleeves into one tidy package. £15.99
