Sacks: not all fisheries allow them. Retainers: often massively bulky and a bit OTT as a weighing sling. And carrying a weighing sling seems pointless if you’re carrying that bulky retainer. But now there’s another way: the All-In-One from Thinking Anglers. This slimline, compact and extremely lightweight device (it has a dry weight of just 800g!) has TA’s design mantra running through every part of its super-soft, carp-friendly sack material.
With the full-length floatation bar removed, it converts into a sack and weigh sling, but slide that float back in and secure it with the Velcro strap at one end, and you’ve got yourself a full mesh retainer. It comes supplied with a 13ft cord, which is attached to a bankstick adaptor, and there’s a very neat, super small zip toggle system to ensure the two-way zips can’t come apart. Previously only available in the brand’s lovely Camfleck finish, but this month sees the release of a limited edition Olive version. Both retail for £59.99 and it comes supplied in a waterproof drawcord carry bag.
