This month's hardware wish list
Because saving sucks (and let’s be honest, we’re out of a recession now, so hey, let’s spend!)
1. Mainline Baits Dissolvas
When the likes of Dave Lane and Danny Fairbrass have had an input into a product, you know it’ll do the business on the lakebed. Designed to promote instant bite attraction, these water-soluble hookbaits take approximately 4-6hrs to dissolve, giving the ‘attractor hookbait’ a new edge. Available in Cell and Hybrid in 18mm.
“GIMME”: £6.75
2. Nash H-Gun BP-10 Reel
Did we ever mention how much we love Nash? We’re sure we have. They’ve given us teeny rods, mini bivvies, the most luxurious beds. And now, as part of their H-Gun collection, they’ve given us this damn hard working reel for button money. Fast drag, long cast spool, line guard, Dual Spot On line clips and it’ll hold 440yds of 0.35mm line.

3. Cygnet Ski Hat
We’re about to enter the time of year when just strolling the lake can seem like an Arctic expedition, fraught with extreme winds and cheek-shredding rain. Give yourself the upper hand against the elements with Cygnet’s new Ski Hat. Super soft, one size fits all and it looks rad too.
4. Fox Camotex Semi Stiff
The brand you visit for some of the best end tackle on the shop shelves has a new hooklink out this month. It comes in two colours: Light Camo and Dark Camo; in three breaking strains: 15, 20 and 25lb; and now with a semi stiff coating.
“GIMME”: £12.99
5. Prologic One Way Rod Rest
Thought that all rod-locking butt rests were horrible, clunky and chunky, didn’t ya? Earlier this year, that misconception was smashed to pieces when ProLogic launched this solid metallic bodied back rest. Twisting side bars hold any rod butt between 15 and 20mm diameter rigid until you lift into that one-toner.

7. Gorilla Tape
With every brand from budget to luxury now tapping into the camo trend, it makes sense for someone to produce a weather-resistant, sticks-to-any-surface matt finish camo (Mossy Oak) tape so we can all decorate our buckets and boxes. 8.2m x 47.8mm.
