“Heavy boilies group and fall straight down, maggots swirl around a bit and hang before sinking, especially dead ones. Smaller pellets and hemp widen out a bit on the way down and are affected by the turbulence created by the Spombhitting the water, and Zig slop sort of explodes and hangs like you would expect it to.

“A Spomb ‘diving in’ delivers the bait differently to a Spomb ‘slapping down’. The ‘slap’ effectively cracks the Spomb open and the bait pours out slowly. A nose dive pushes it out quicker, and yes, that does have an effect, especially when using different baits in the same payload.”
